Power Feed Module

The KFD2-EB2 interfaces standard or redundant 24 VDC power supplies to the Power Rail at a maximum current of 4 A. A green LED on the front of the unit indicates that power
is on, and a red LED illuminates during error conditions. In the event of a field wiring or isolator fault from any isolator on the Power Rail, the integral collective error messaging
relay alerts the controller via a single discrete I/O point. This relay can be configured as normally open or normally closed with an on board shunt jumper.

Switch Isolator

This device is a dual channel, galvanically isolated intrinsic safety barrier that transfers discrete signals (NAMUR sensors/mechanical contacts) from a hazardous area to a safe area. Each proximity sensor or switch controls two N.O. relay contacts for the safe area load. The barrier output changes state when the input signal changes state. The normal output state can be reversed through the mode of operation switches S1 and S2.

The logic control unit has two logic inputs which are combined internally across an OR gate. The output acts as a proportional supply in the range of open circuit to the curve angle point and is galvanically isolated from the input and the power supply per EN 50020.
